Am I wrong?

I would conclude that the reason that Cs. dismiss as violation are:

1. The people involved not have a "trained eye" in graphics
2. The overload of work
3. Too much time in the screen fine tuning the new code so they need make an appointment with the optometrist.

I would love to know the information that the guru's have had to conclude in this case, I bet that my fellow creative’s too.....
You bet :)

That's too funny!

As for your design being copied...yes, I agree it was a blatant copy of your work. Anyone thinking otherwise is fooling themselves. Unbelievable!! I'm in a contest where the contest holder told another designer it's okay to steal my idea! It was right there in the 'Activity' log. I couldn't believe it when I read it! He even included my name!! Will I report it? No...waste of time and energy. cS needs to set up a logo court, and let US vote on whether an entry is a copy or not. I'll guarantee many of those entries that are deemed 'not a copy' by cS will get voted off by us.

My opinion is that the stuff don't really care about the copywrite, or stock art logo, they don´t protect the designers and they don't protect the buyer that pays 300$ for a free stock art, they don't relly care.

Well, not always a waste of time, in a project, I report an entry inspired in my design (that was latter dimissed by the panel of three).
Then the same guy in another project, join to the bandwagon of concept copy and submit an entry almost the same of mine, but the second he realize that I was the guy he are copying, have the courtesy to withdraw his entry, inmediatly after submit, without need to report or PM him.

Respect the buyer request, it depends the words he uses, if are general comment like: Look at the simplicity of the entry # of X designer, or: I like square elements like the entry..., that is acceptable.
But if is : I like the red square rotated 15 degrees with the half circle resembling a smile of the entry...., that is a violation.

May be you can PM and send me the link of the project, I'm filing a lawsuit and my attorney make me a volume discount if two of more ..... Ok. just kidding, but send me the link.

Create a community court... I think that will be problematic, I know that here are great designers whit a lot of criteria and common sense, but anothers could use the court to ventilate his fustrations.
I think that the descision panel must be part of the Cs. crew, just need to have an unified criteria.
